Irene called at 6:10 pm to say that surgery was done, and Wendi is in recovery.  She is not yet awake, and Irene hasn’t seen her yet.  The doctor said the surgery went as expected.  9 lymph nodes were removed, and they were all clear.

Wendi had everyone laughing before she went under, and a nurse had to ask Irene if she was always like that…

Irene is very tired, and will update us again tomorrow.
